When opening guidebooks and subsequently an analysis, you can view additional details on the right-hand side when you click on the widget.  There is an “About” tab. Here you will find information about how the visualization is calculated and more interesting insights.

Modifying Date Range

Change the time context by using the Time picker in the chart toolbar, which is located at the top of the charts. Please notice that modifications to the date range are not saved and will not be shown in the dashboards.

In the Time picker, you'll find options to change the granularity, time period, and time window for your charts.

2. Time window picker: Select the number of periods to display on the chart. Some of the pickers can be customized.

3. Time window: Shows the number of periods displayed on the chart. You can drag the edges of the box to extend or reduce your time window.

4. Time period: Drag and slide the time window along the timeline to select the time period or range of periods that you want to analyze. You can also move the selection by clicking on a time period.

Time granularity

The granularity of your chart adjusts the frequency at which results are calculated and shown. For example, you can choose to switch your granularity from a monthly to a quarterly view. This means the results are shown for the selected quarters. It's easy to analyze trends over long periods, but sometimes you need to analyze data at a more granular level such as daily to answer your questions.

Time window

The time window determines the range of time (number of time periods) that is displayed on the chart. For example, if you set the granularity to months and the time window to 6, you'll see six months of data displayed on the chart. The time window option is only available for time-based visuals.

Time period

Choose a time period to filter the data to a specific point in time or a time range. The time period is inclusive, so selecting a range from March 2023 to March 2024 includes data from March 1st, 2023 up to the most complete date as of March 31st, 2024.

Q: How often is the data refreshed in SmartAnalytics?

A:  We have daily refreshes of the data in SmartAnalytics so any changes in SmartRecruit should be reflected in SmartAnalytics in no more than 24 hours later.

Q: Can I compare the data from SmartAnalytics to the current dashboards? Why am I seeing some discrepancies?

A:  Although SmartAnalytics leverages the data in SmartRecruit, as does the current dashboards, the data models are quite different. This means that some of the logic and calculations are different and may attribute to small but visible data discrepancies. This is why we urge users to not compare the data sets between the current dashboards and SmartAnalytics.
